Fendt S4 724 blowing water out

My fendt has started this worrying habit. When it gets under serious load(6 green bars on temp guage) water starts coming out the plastic header tank breather cap. I changed the cap but still doing it. Head gasket? Was only doing it under serious load but now will do it under hardly any load. Local mechanic thinks head gasket or EGR? Have removed DPF filter(due to constant standstill burnoffs) and turned ad blue off. Only done 2600hrs

Get a sniff test done in the header tank, but from your symptoms, id say HG.

i suspect such tampering would understandly loose their attention !
I don't particularly like all this messing with engines... especially on a fairly young machine ....... Wonder also if the fendt in question has been remapped aswell?

Sounds like head gasket to me. Doubt it's cooling related as it would keep getting hotter till it boiled. What ever I think your on your own as far as any warranty is considered

re mapping engines is stupid regardless - why a bloke with a laptop thinks he knows better than multi million £ manufacturers r&d programs is beyond me !

unless you intend to change the allocation of an engine - ie a road car becomes a race car or you need to run on a different type of fuel etc then it’s a very silly thing to do

Depends, some things are tweeked by the maker off optimum as it wouldnt meet emission standards, so if that does not worry you you can set it back to optimum.

Rather unusual to be headgasket in those hours.
Get the EGR cooler replaced, they be a common fail item

And yes.. if you've deleted anything or tampered with software related then you have no warranty.
As much as I support deleting stuff you still have to play by the rules

EGR cooler isn't to expensive or hard to replace so you'll be fine

my 818 used to do the same. I changed caps, tested the pressure, send it to my dealer that ran it on a dyno for a while and nothing. I changed the expansion tank as well.
Im still none the wiser. Going on a journey it would heat up but not overheat at the same point on a hill; but it just never got worse.
I used to jump down, check hubs, engine, back ends; everything; but the only concern I had was smoke or steam would come from under the cab.
I often wondered if it was just where water accumulated and then heated up??

Loads of people I know around here with remapped JDs, I think the dealer even does it now as new tractors are supplied and get complained about for being staid and totally underwhelming for their supposed power.

Your going to disagree.... Modern tractors need remapped we’ve had a few mapped/chipped and never had any engine bother most run cooler and use less fuel... it’s pathetic how gutless these over priced machines are standard

Same can be said for most major brands

And I bet there’s plenty of farmers who unknowingly had there tractors tweaked with by the dealer from new so they don’t hear any power complaints

Fendt, Deere, NH etc clearly don’t employees the right people then and are wasting millions in r&d

what they need is “Dave” from his lockup with his eBay cable and battered laptop with some badly written “grenade code” !
