Is that one of the few with a belt tensioner on it? That is something I’d be looking for if buying, must get a lot more life out of them if they’re never going slack. Here's my Teagle dual 280. Top pictures are what it does to marshland reeds and hemlock. Bottom one is what it does to tall scrubby grass, that I didn't want to mow, at the bottom of the hay field. Easily one of our best buys. Just need front linkage/PTO for it one day. View attachment 1126314View attachment 1126315View attachment 1126313

What was wrong with the Major? I was looking at 8 foot offset toppers recently, and the Major was by far the most expensive of the ones I priced. Thanks all, we usually use a old jf trailer mower but theirs always something wrong with it now, had a major offset topper before, absolutely useless found a set of folding flail toppers but never tried a flail

Yeah it has a tensioner. All you have to do is put a pump of grease on it once in a while. Is that one of the few with a belt tensioner on it? That is something I’d be looking for if buying, must get a lot more life out of them if they’re never going slack.
Why they don’t all have them is a mystery to me, save the faff of loosening every bolt on the gearbox and farting about trying to figure out how tight is too tight and all the rest of it.Yeah it has a tensioner. All you have to do is put a pump of grease on it once in a while.
