is our *G*lamping site.

Call it a posh Shepherds hut for Townies. They have internal wet rooms, power shower, and a kitchenette. We have a sewer main that runs to a treatment plant- the aeration type. That was a condition of the planning.

Compost toilets are perfectly workable - it just depends what market you are aiming at. In our case, outdoor toilets / communal shower rooms was not going to cut the mustard.
And by the way your set up and web site looks fantastic ! Well done 1st class .

That looks great. (y) Having done it once and learnt the lessons, can you get us get us set up as the Much Wenlock franchise site...

As a bare minimum I would put up a nice shower, toilet and washing machine block. Do it nicely and properly the first time around. Put it all straight into a septic tank system I would.

Good money to be made from camping, glamping and the like. The bulk of you no doubt have a wealth of beautiful surroundings and potentially very picturesque farms. It's cold hard cash you can earn sat in your armchair at home. Having a photogenic farm and significant other helps. We have camped all over the place, met a lot of good old fashioned farming families who you can see really appreciate having guests as it dovetails with their farming nicely.

If you can dig a fishing lake as well you will be able to get more occupancy of the site/camping pods or whatever outside of the normal tourist seasons. Some of them come from miles around and camp for days fishing.

Fishing lake eh , your giving me ideas now !

We’re you into fish n fishing before you started ? Looks really good bet your busy.
thank you! I am very into fishing! I built the lake for personal pleasure then decided to add the huts. I only let people in the huts fish the lake. I am very happy with the bookings so far! will need to figure out advertising etc to fill in winter. to be honest, I'm not bothered too much if not 100% full as we like to use the site ourselves occasionally!

Mixed Farmer
or a water treatment plant which seem to be more popular now and preferred by the planners...

I have wondered what the Planners would say to a composting toilet when they ask what will happen to the waste material, and you point at the muck heap!

I am hearing mixed results with the water treatment plants, but all 2nd hand TBF. For a small pod or two, a simple underground tank will be the easiest method and then vaccy tank it out as required.
