On a rough calculation in my head while filling it, and looking at the fuel tank on the side after 4 loads at 20% our Mecmar S34 is using 1 litre for every percent per ton of kero, seemed to work out the same for 17% down to 14% too

My Masters this summer has been just a smidge under 1ltr/%/t I reckon, drying down from 22-23% at worst, I use the side mounted fuel tank so have to fill it fairly often. Bloody good drier

Kerosene may be cheaper but is less energy dense. Less heat for same volume burnt. Cleaner burn but less lube for pump. Its swings and roundabouts, dont have actual figures to give you on price per tonne dried.

There is a little air pressure tube to tell is the fan stops (belts gone) it can get blocked with dust or chaff. So if it even stops or wont light burner seek it out and clean it out.
Goes from fan chamber to pressure switch, but i am going back a while.
I was told about that one. Had a few issues this week and had to bypass some to get the batch finished but getting there now

We run a Master. Had a little problem with it last Saturday afternoon (bank holiday weekend) in the end I could not get it going.
So about 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon I ring masters ,to my surprise they answered the phone bank holiday Saturday .
spoke to a gentleman told him about the issue .and he told me you can bypass the problem until we can get the new light sensor .
Then on Tuesday rang me to see if everything was okay ,and if we managed to keep going .
What a brilliant service from masters .🇬🇧👍 .new part next day .

That is alot cheaper than gas. I would think it would cost us twice as much to remove a percent with gas.

My old master drier puts a deisel smell on the barley, maybe kero wont
It must be set wrong to taint the corn, on our Mecmar you alter the air gate at the front until it burns clean, run the drier empty and set the burner going, one way it you can see blue smoke, the other way you can see white smoke, need to be somewhere in the middle until no smoke is visible. Obviously there are other factors but it cured ours when we got it
