Looking at the above , wanting to place a seeder ontop to plant osr but also as the machines have a leading disc looking at sticking it into grass and possible squinting grass seed a t the same time into tied pasture , I know the width of the placement will be wide , roughly .5m but not too worried as the following year it would be done the other way but the different roller options have me thinking what’s the best all around one to have for alll jobs , thanks

After buying a stealth two years ago I wouldn't buy one again, most rams been replaced, half the leg brackets been replaced too.
Plus it weighs a horrendous amount and sticks too far out the back so driving on the road is awful

He-Va machinery / Opico completely priced themselves out of the market about 10 years ago. Unless you're flush or it's working a big area there will be far better value in another suitable machine.

Just bought a tillso advantage with leading discs; hasn’t arrived yet but there’s an awful lot of science goes into his leg design-Chris really knows his stuff. Was also cheaper than a stealth and a lot cheaper than a sumo.

Any one else got any more thoughts on the above. I demoed a Stealth last week and Ive got an LDS coming out this afternoon.

I thought the stealth did a god job. Some people I've spoken too say the Sumo moves more soil. The stealth gives the option for a sheerbolt rather than a hydrolic ram which is less to go wrong and shaves £6k off the price.

Dose anyone use one to put in cover crops.

We've a Sumo LDS here , purely used as a subsoiler , nothing seeded behind it. Does a superb job and leaves a very level surface for the Claydon to drill into . Other than the price I'd hazard a guess you'll like what it does , hopefully you'll post to let us know ?

We run an Agriweld Min-Dis (bought and paid for) and also store load of there gear in a shed for them as they are over the hill and Dean is a long standing friend def have a look at the Mis Dis https://agriweld.co.uk/product/mindis-subsoiler/ before buying anything else. Same point as an LDS so spares readily available as std but they can put on Tillso or Metcalfe if you wish. Shearbolt, Snap Bar or Hyd reset legs depending on soil conditions and budget and decent people who design and make the stuff themselves. They have a couple of 3m and 4m folders in stock (my shed()

Run a 2022 Stealth 4m here standard he-va points don't last long especially last year so we got some with tungsten on the wing and they did 300acres before I got some APM maxipart ones for this year which have done just short of 50 acres with no obvious wear but they do have a more square leading point. We like the job it does run it mostly on my 7830 which copes on our varied land types. As mentioned it is heavy and can bounce a bit on the road on mine but brothers 7R doesn't bounce on road. bought ours after a demo the year before SUMO dealer never bothered so we went for the Stealth. If you want a guide on price PM me and I can tell you what we paid for it.

So we had a load of rain and the wheel slip was too much on the 6250 (demo tractor) on the sumo 4m on grass. It wouldn't be fair test. So they have left it all with me to try it again when it drys up. Link below to the machine I'm trying out.

I like the heva is I can get a sheer bolt version. Saves quite a bit of cash and less to go wrong in time. However the Sumo has this seeder box (on this one) which could be beneficial but does add to the price.

Both the sumo and heva weigh a lot and are bouncy on the road. Is anyone running a trailed LDS? Like a 5m or something. Or another option I could down is the toolbar route and use it in front of my co4 (on Burgault points) when drilling beans or second wheat. But this doesn't help me out when I'm drilling with the Avatar as that's 8m. Pros and cons I suppose.

Rytec or Grange also seem to offer good machines. Has anyone tried those?
