I’m running the same baler. What weight of silage bales are you making I’ve made quite a few over 900kg at max size and the density set at 8that was bailed 22 april
At less then a bale to the acre
Would bale more per hour as there’s less in the bale if you’re going like a foolI was asking a local contractor who owns a fusion and has had a demo of the kuhn what the kuhn was like. He said the fusion would bale alot more grass per hour. Kuhn well built, liked it, but disappointed with the output. Do others find that or maybe it wasn't set up right.

Getting over the 1000 kg if chopping with all knives in On clover seed Leys , they certainly pack it in !I’m running the same baler. What weight of silage bales are you making I’ve made quite a few over 900kg at max size and the density set at 8 View attachment 875913
Wow is that at max size and max density??Getting over the 1000 kg if chopping with all knives in On clover seed Leys , they certainly pack it in !
Well on 9 , they won’t allow you in to settings for 10 as you probably know !Wow is that at max size and max density??
How many bales are you getting out of a pair of rolls when 3d wrapping? And how many bales do you get from rolls in chamber? for how many turns?Would bale more per hour as there’s less in the bale if you’re going like a fool
Wrapper on 3D setting will slow you down 5 seconds a bale but that’s a better overlap of wrap where you need it !! So why wouldn’t you do that ?
On same setting as fusion turn 3D off and it will match it , apart from doing a better bale ! Run the fusion and kuhn side by side for 2 weeks , pick up reel and rotor / auger on Kuhn far superior
One way to make money on heavy bales is to charge the customer by the weight (£/ton for example), not the amount. Wrap cost isn't something you can sneeze at.I’d be wondering how many bales you get out of the Baler before it falls apart?? Sure chains, rollers, bearings are all going to give in and who the hell wants a bale that heavy. If I did that to my clients they would run me. Besides how would u make money with so few bales. Im not trying to put you down but having Baler’s myself and knowing what they cost I certainly would not be abusing one.
I said I have bailed that heavy , not wet silage as who wants that sh!t ! That’s seed grass with clover spread out and bailed 24hour wiltI’d be wondering how many bales you get out of the Baler before it falls apart?? I put 3 layers around the barrel in the front , 2 rolls will do 145/150 bales , 3D wrapping on the rear 5 layers 50/52 out of 2 rollsHow many bales are you getting out of a pair of rolls when 3d wrapping? And how many bales do you get from rolls in chamber? for how many turns?
So basically around 18/19 bales a roll of wrap with no netwrap purchase. Sounds very decent really?I put 3 layers around the barrel in the front , 2 rolls will do 145/150 bales , 3D wrapping on the rear 5 layers 50/52 out of 2 rolls

Well it’s for our own personal use and yes at them weights for us that was wet silage which actually turned out not that bad quality wise.I’d be wondering how many bales you get out of the Baler before it falls apart?? Plus bales have a lot more wrap on the barrel compared to netSo basically around 18/19 bales a roll of wrap with no netwrap purchase. Sounds very decent really?
Who wants a bale that heavy? Why wouldn't you more in a bale = less wrap less bales so cheaper silage does it not ? .I’d be wondering how many bales you get out of the Baler before it falls apart??
