New Holland mounted disc mowers

Looking at new mower for next year. Currently running a JD 1365 and have had quotes on trailed kv,krone and Kuhn all of which are eye wateringly expensive but the local new Holland dealer gave me an offer on 10ft front/back plain disc which is between £2200-£3950 than the trailed. Has anyone had experience with new Holland mowers and would I be making a mistake going from trailed moco to plain disc. The tractor it would be going on is a JD 6130m and we do have the odd steep field. Other people’s experiences would be helpfu.

The new holland mower is the jf mower branded as new holland. When cnh brought kongskilde they got the grass range. We have a plain kongskilde version and get on well with it, well made and in my view nothing cuts any better. Our neighbour has a new holland trailed mower this season and is very happy with it. He had kuhn before.

Front mower?

Front and back plain mowers £2200-£3950 less than trailed moco
Ah yeh...sounds cheap...I guess the Kv’s might come in under the trailed...the Kv’s dint take much power, I saw a 130 up case on a set of 8.7 m triples in first cut in Devon once, so you’d be fine...might be worth asking kv...there’s a few machines about with some good terms on...but your main decision is wether you need a conditioner...obviously a mounted would save a considerable amount of money....

I replaced an old John Deere moco that had done 10 years reliable service with a Kverneland/Tarrup mounted moco, it was a terrible thing with a long list of problems, it lasted 1.5 seasons and the dealer replaced it with a McHale. It is very reliable but still not happy with that compared to my old John Deere though! In my opinion you often do get what you pay for, buy once cry once!
