That's got Solar panels possibly???Plant marginal and steep unworkable land by all means but keep prime arable and forage land for food production.
I say get it planted asap. The more out of production the less food there is on the open market which can only be a good thing for us. There is a small farm near me that used to be rented out for silage now planted in trees, my reckoning is if thier silly enough to destroy good prime land then keep her lit get it planted
Thanks , some of us make a living off steep marginal land, some of the steep stuff is actually the best .Plant marginal and steep unworkable land by all means but keep prime arable and forage land for food production.
246 acre next to me just had a solar farm approved so thats one more farm out of productionI say get it planted asap. Dont joke the local 'character' round here mowed the saplings with some rough grass on the pit heaps that the council had spent a fortune planting. There was hell onYou should go in at night and plough the trees in
Na i wish more would plant trees in ground used for milk production as it means less litres. In fairness i can see why some land owners do it as if your not interested in the land why would u want to maintain fences and gates and water drinkers etc,etc plus have some1 in your lane when u can get paid to put it in trees instead. Me however would NEVER plant my good ground in treesYou should go in at night and plough the trees in
If they are not interested in the land, they shouldnt own itNa i wish more would plant trees in ground used for milk production as it means less litres. Possibly, but thats not always the case. Im sure every1 on here can think of plenty of twits like that in thier areaIf they are not interested in the land, they shouldnt own it
Always funny watching a politician trying to bulls**t thier way around hard questions when theres a good reporter that wont let it slide and keeps diggingQuite looking forward to the coming u turns on coal power stations, oil drilling, rewilding, trees etc
