It will tend to be recycled plastic. The issue is if they don't get disposed off correctly at end of life.
Which they? Creosoted posts or plastic posts don't get disposed of correctly?

I think Creosoted post are very good, my only issue with them is the cost now! I was told at sheep 2022 the the CCA was not banned, rather EU regs said the old CCA tanalising treated wood could not be used on children's play areas, so rather than having two types of treatment, they removed the Arsenic and possibly Cobalt from tanalising, so tanalised wood could be used anywhere and everywhere, hence the big problems we now find ourselves in. Great example of the law of unintended consequences. I wonder what the Carbon cost is or renewing all this fencing every few years? Put up a fence with the old CCA or Creosote and it lasts until the pig netting rusts out (which I guess would be 40 years plus), low Carbon emissions cost. Easier with the "new" posts for a contractor to rip up the old fence and replace with new, including the wire, Carbon emission cost sky high.

It's the plastic posts that often don't get disposed off correctly so they result in microplasic in the environment.

It's not just "children's play areas" with the new regs is any areas that children may (or are likely) play in. Hence it covers most none farm locations.

Bet farm assurance hot on creosote posts are they or other contaminants?

What's recycled waste plastic posts like to use and prices?

Years ago Jackson fencing was allegedly the best? Are they still going?

Apparently Europe are banning creasote treated posts from next year. Will Uk still be able to get them? I asked my supplier about a month ago and he didn’t know anything about the ban in Europe
We should leave!

Banning creosote is another daftness by people who don't understand fractional distillation.
Or is petrol a by-product of creosote production in their mind?

Jackson's are still going and still reportedly the best although I don't use their products.

I think recycled plastic has a place but it's not the saviour for rotting timber.

They're very flexible, hard to knock into the ground and knock staples into. Will snap if bent too far but should last a lifetime. Be perfect in wet boggy ground that sits wet with little stock pressure.

The producers of plastic posts will have any plastic posts back and they will recycle them back into another plastic product.

They used the kids play area as the reason to ban CCA on little to no evidence. They used a scientific paper which was later proved inaccurate, as the kids would need to ingest the whole post to have any affects from the arsenic rather than just licking it.

How are clipex put in to the correct height for high tension wire given the wire fixing points are not moveable?
Not sure what you mean but we use clipex more than anything else nowadays and HT wire always.
the eco posts fit stockfence of a standard 8/80 wire formation but for the standard posts you need to use x knot stockfence or with a similar height between spacings of horizontals .

I thought that due to the very high tension HT is installed with (to increase post spacing) the system requires no changes in direction vertical or horizontal.
They wont pull unless in shitey soft ground, theres an achor on them . if there's a turn then same as with wood use turning posts.
anyway I only do it in real life and as such it works well so not too worried about the theory.

Simple answer to all the crap thats out there would be to bring back CCA treatment having said that , still needs to be dry and pressure applied tho.

Since "they" decided it's environmentally ok to burn wood for energy, even shitey wood is now too expensive for such piffling activities like construction, let alone fencing 🙄
