Whilst I agree that we will need some kind of weather event to help us keep the price up so we can actually make a decent profit! We must be careful of what we wish for.

Currently we are in a much worse SMD than this time last year. And if it continues then irrigation won’t be the saviour for those that can. As the water will be restricted much, much sooner.

Wether getting the crop in a month earlier than last will help, only time will tell.

Shropshire’s don’t have to comply with irrigation restrictions as they have reservoirs and they get a derogation for misting lettuces?
