They go to all that trouble designing new guards but never offer a facility to grease the ringsThe Sparex Gardloc is very good, actually easier to use than the Bareco one:

Do they come with a bag of collars like the Bareco guards? There is a grease fitting moulded into the plastic to grease the rings. I think the guards retail about £60-£75 depending on size, the red clips are available for a couple of quid a pair if you ever need them.
If you could tell me how to attach a video from an iPhone, I’ll show a video of what can happen at tick over with an unguarded PTO!I've posted this video before.
Anyone who ever uses a PTO driven machine or comes in contact with one should take 5 mins and watch, it is not patronising it is real life.
Yes, they are supplied with a range of collars, you choose the ones you want.Do they come with a bag of collars like the Bareco guards?
I’ve Bareco on my tub feeders, they’ve done thousands of hours trouble free.

I've just bought a large Gardloc guard for my Bomford topper, but the kit did not include the 80mm plastic insert (bearing) that I need, only 3 pairs ranging from 53mm to 69mm. It seems impossible to buy 1 or even the biggest pair. They do offer a kit of 16 or 18 inserts, for £80, which is ridiculous when you only want one. Sparex said their Easylock bearings would fit, but £20 later, I found they were totally different.Yes, they are supplied with a range of collars, you choose the ones you want.
.... but if it is difficult & stupidly expensive to replace, it doesn't get done/ Just bought a Gardloc guard (£70ish), but need the biggest (80mm) insert/bearing - but "not available" separately - only in a mixed pack for £80!PTO guards are the law. And when you hear of some accidents people have without them, it makes you realize why.
If you can't afford to fit and maintain a PTO guard on your machinery you can't afford to be in business, IMHO
80mm is very large for a pto ring. Sounds like it might be one of those oddball types of pto shaft that these generic guards don't fitI've just bought a large Gardloc guard for my Bomford topper, but the kit did not include the 80mm plastic insert (bearing) that I need, only 3 pairs ranging from 53mm to 69mm. Has anyone got an 80mm Gardloc insert, please?
But when you are tired, distracted, rushing and stressed out a brush with a properly covered pto shaft won't kill you but you've no second chance with a bare one..... no matter how aware you about it.I'm afraid you'll have to add me to the idiot farmer list as my power Harrow hasn't had a pto guard for 15+ years.
I'm all for safety but there's a limit. If things become too safe people switch off and stop thinking and that's when accidents happen.
It's much more important that your able to realise and identify when a situation is getting dangerous and step back from it.
I can guarantee 90% of accident happen when your tired, distracted, rushing or stressed out.
I could also add old farmers that have been doing a stupid dangerous job for years and getting away with it and refuse to change cause it's "fine" nothings happened so far....
Gardloc do make one, apparently, but Sparex, who own the patent, do not seem to be able to sell one separately.80mm is very large for a pto ring. Sounds like it might be one of those oddball types of pto shaft that these generic guards don't fit
Why are they so bloody expensive that’s what I want to know
We had one of the long ones go on the rake it was more than double your one it’s a bloody jokeGood point! I’ve just had the shaft on the tanker self destruct (at the tanker end) so took it in for 2 new yokes. The main guard is intact but the wide angle end has actually worn itsself away slightly (not to the point it would cause serious injury yet if you got in contact)
So I asked how much a new guard would be for the tractor end, the wide angle bit. Almost £150 was the answer. FFS the entire repair job to the yokes and labour costs less than a new guard.
They quite rightly want people to abide by the law and be safe, I totally agree on this, but they would have a better success rate by making the safety bits a reasonable price for a bit of plastic.
Afternoon just took my shaft to local ag dealer.Wood chipper should have a slip clutch. Shear bolt is totally wrong
Yes I’d have thought your description was right enough. And £300 about right for an overrun yoke.Afternoon just took my shaft to local ag dealer.
Either im asking for a complicated shaft or or there .....
Advise i take my shaft to driveline to try establish y its wobbling, which ive done as seemed good first step.
Quoting £300 ish for new yoke end for my shaft with rachet slip built in .
I think i want shaft 6 spline each end , overrun and slip. I thought that was simple enough.
