Quad bikes

What’s everyone going for these days?
Can am seem popular?
Honda not so.
anyone using a cf Moto?
Can am losing it a bit ,a few tried around here and were loving them until they've done a bit of work, now looking elsewhere. We haven't had a bad Honda but some have. Several on here love Suzuki but I don't know anyone within 10 miles who has one. Yamaha always close to Honda I popularity. CF arrived at my neighbours a month ago, they've wrecked everything they've ever had so that will be a test. Kawasaki like rocking horse sh!t

2 Honda 420s basic with foot gears

The new ones with power steering are great. used to run the older 500s but these probably have as much power

They are probably abit old fashioned But no belt or gearbox problems like you get with the other makes🫣 they’ll never be at a dealer to get fixed as they don’t break maybe a yearly service if there lucky

I do really miss our old hydrostatic 500 tho a shame they stopped making them

I bought a quite new but second hand suzuki in the middle of lambing after my old one went wrong so got 2 suzukis now. They're both good bikes and the dealer is very good but if I'd had a bit more time to think about it I might have bought a new cf moto and I would habe got it for not much more than the suzuki was second hand 🤷

Can am here, don’t really like it but it was £1k less than a Suzuki at the time. Currently got a brake leak somewhere so topping up reservoir regularly, been badly set up so tyres have worn uneven and drinks like a fish. A 570. Does the job….just.

My CanAm 650 is due a change soon (just over 4yrs into a 5yr warranty) and like the new model CanAms. However, they aren't getting any cheaper and there are now no dealers in West Wales. Unless they take another dealer on over there (so that I can get to a dealer in less than 2 hours!), then they have ruled themselves out.

I've not tried a Yamaha yet (& even more expensive), don't like Suzuki, and aware of problems with plenty of Polaris and Honda bikes locally. CF Moto is looking most likely currently, both because of the price and the dealer seems pretty keen for backup & servicing.

Struggling to get my head round the idea of going to around half the power though, even though I appreciate my CanAm is massively overpowered and I will be cutting down on workload significantly too.

I had one on demo for a weekend too... Gutless, slow, loud and hot... An hour was enough to know it wasn't for me! I was getting annoyed with it
Must be a very inefficient transmission on them, on paper a 450 is a lot more power than a Honda 520 but everyone says how flat they are

Have a cf moto 450 since around two and a half years. The next one will probably be a cfmoto aswell, maybe the next one up.

We bought a CFMoto 450 basic this spring. It's out first quad bike so can't compare it to anything else. Paid £4750 + vat for it including 2 year warranty and 2 year 0% finance on half of the price. Was a bargain imo and would buy another. Will probably trade in once it's 2 years old for a slightly bigger model but the 450 is ok. I have even pulled umbilical pipes around with it.
