actually think its a pretty poor paid job (relative to other CEO type stuff) from what I'm told ............ however that doesn't excuse complete failure ! and we are still talking a salary that most farmers members could only ever dream of !

It shouldn't be well paid. All it is is collect a sub and then decide how to divvy it up. I don't even consider it a proper job

I have been to our meeting this morning regarding Dead Tractor. Considering how large Lincolnshire is.!! Around 14/15 Farmers and 4/5 NFU staff. We did give it a good airing as Andrew Ward acted as Chairman with the Regional Director working on his Lap top. He even mentioned BFU at the end of the meeting and that they should submit there own version of the review.!! Watch Wardys Waffle to see if there are any comments. The Counties lead and Vice Chair was very up on it as she has Leaf, Red Tractor Produce and Cereals and Sugar Beet. Nearly the whole room agreed that it should go back to basics. One chap even had the original book with the standards in it.
