Mackerel sky two days to rain that’s an old country saying ! but there is a change in the weather, beginning to get a stinking headache comes on when the pressure changes in the atmosphere am I the only one gets this . When father was alive always listen to the Shipping forecast was always quite accurate .
I had a headache brewing, just over my right eye, all yesterday late afternoon and evening. Didn't really develop into a full headache, but was just "there"
Miss Zippy had the exact same feeling as well last night. She reckoned it was the change in pressure .

Beat the rain this morning.

Last year started off cold and dry with a few showers then mid June it rained every second day for months on end.
This year it has been dry and certainly for us hot ( as in +20c ). If my experience in the last 4 decades is on the money then we will not get heavy rain till Sept/Oct. Hopefully enough showers and cool weather <25c where crops shut down. Its a bit like the jungles they create their own micro climate. Here if it starts wet and cold it stays like that right through and we get no appreciable summer whereas this year very dry ground doesn't attract much other than a shower. This of course will all be cr#p when they start screaming drought locally.

Fancy a move to the County of milk and honey... well bits of it anyway?

Buildings are ripe for conversions I would have thought.
I have been looking. It seems a fair price and looks as if the bottom fields could flood. Also right on the side of the B road.Do you know of the farm,or are you near?

Been out putting up a fence this afternoon and elected to not take a waterproof.

Wasn't needed anyway.

My forecast for the next few weeks is 15 - 20 degrees with an odd shower of less than 0.3mm every day or two. Not the weather for making hay, but not enough rain to do any good :(

Not far, about 3 miles. Some of the land nearby can be.... damp! On the edge of Eyton/Kynnersley Moors and traditionally grassland. But been arable a long time now I'd say

The B road is fairly busy these days as a main route from Shrewsbury across to Newport and then on to Stafford. Close to Harper Adams, so speeding Range Rovers about... ;)
