Meurig Raymond was a previous RT board member whilst President of NFU.
Nick von W is extremely capable and, in my opinion, a first class advocate for farmers.
Perhaps RT want to be in charge of import standards as well as food "standards" and SFI policing.

Ask the Dutch, what they do with the rules - they're just as much in the EU-reka as anyone else has been. But they are (generally) far more business-like and produce "with the rules" as opposed to "under rule", if you see what I mean?

Funny thing is, very few places in the world wear their regulatory burden like a badge of honour.
If I was placed on a curfew, for example, then I wouldn't be shouting about it
