so he tries to claim damages from the bank for 'not being advised of the risks of signing a personal guarantee'.....then years later Brent Farms and Agricultural Properties default on their loans, would you believe with signed personal guarantees

, would you believe with signed personal guarantees
This is the nature of the beast, and you would think a clear example of the various misrepresentations he has peddled all his life.
This only further displays the failure of the SFO and Avon and Somerset Police to weigh up the nature of the complaints before them.Or is there, as Elfyn Llwyd speculated 'something amiss in Avon and Somerset Police'.
A former member of staff at Highbridge once said that they all believed that one day Phillips would borrow money from the 'wrong' person and get his comeuppance, but it would seem that he carefully selects who he borrows from, moreso than who he lends to.
As he knows too well the only consequence of getting it wrong with his lending is that the borrower might escape the spiral of debt that he imposes on them, get it wrong with the wrong funder ,different story.

Seems that he got it totally right when his persuasive story and plausible valuations allowed him to gain the support of the Lendy investors, another walkover for Phillips, unless of course they prove otherwise.

No news on Williams Appeal
Lord Levinson is a very high profile Judge possible parachuted in to deal with a high profile case
rumoured to be giving Williams a hard time

Oh Yes.It seems the solicitor who can't be named,a former colleague of the solicitor who has been shamed (subject to appeal decision) has had his trial put back to November. In light of that article it would seem that the details of the Corporate Jet Services demise are now well understood and perhaps the investigators are moving to make sure they have further evidence to prevent their rat escaping the trap.
Unfortunately the rats have bred so well they'll need the Pied Piper to patrol the streets of Bristol to remove the bloated vermin.

The latest offering from UKAF,..............umm:scratchhead:
Interesting! "Quote" - the company is operating within the terms of a recovery services agreement (RSA with Connought). The purpose of the RSA is to provide a contractual framework for the loan recovery process and the distribution of the realization proceeds. "Unquote".

Connought some 3 years after this process should have been completed are still awaiting for this to be realized and the proceeds of that process are being doled out to meet the Directors dire in-house needs to keep their carousel afloat. Not being content with the duff investments they saddled Connought with in the first place, they have their hands in the till at this late stage. Toad's double bubble!

These accounts are for the year ending 2015, what surprises have they in store since then? Lendy were hit in that year as well so how big is the financial sink hole of Toad? Time will tell as these accounts are unaudited as usual and as for Lendy a story is yet to unfold despite their bullish reporting.

Perhaps they are also waiting for their share of ongoing claims against those naughty valuers, even though the valuers insurers seem fairly confident that they won't be paying(y)(y).How much longer they can feed that to the very patient Connaught investors remains to be seen :cry:

See SFO charged the daddy, Barclays and some executive.
SFO claimed by one lawyer to be "fearless" in taking on such a big foe.
Whay don't they grow some more and take on the minnows at Highbridge and their "friends", and sort out the corruption in Avon and Somerset Police.
