New last year, it must be a courtesy car supplied by SS/Lendy. How generous of them!! Going to be travelling up the Royal Mile to the High Court in style then, deserving of a man of his status but it ought to be in a G4 Prison Van.

Does anyone know what Victor got for his cut of the spoils?

Rather think that the 'club' have already infiltrated SS/Lendy to such an extent that it may be mortally wounded,Phillips not being the only 'financier' to relieve them of their money.
They certainly appear to be a fraud magnet and they should deal with them as such eventually.

I'm surprised that no-one appears to have complained to the advertising standard authority about the current TV campaign being run by Lloyds in which they claim that they have long experience as a trusted business partner. I have not been directly involved but I know of several cases in agriculture and other businesses where Lloyds agreed loans then pulled the plug at critical times. If they were forced to pull those adverts it would really send a message to the banking industry.

There are some awful stories coming out which people wouldn't have believed a few years ago,but as you say ,pulling the plug at a crucial time is very common. The way then in which the property falls seamlessly into the lap of the grateful neighbour, very often aided by borrowing from the same bank is also common.
Lloyds behaviour is currently being analysed at many levels, the biggest limitation being the huge numbers of people coming forward with these horror stories. What is clear is,this is not a result of the banking crisis, this has been practised as long ago as the Hill Samuel Bank ,who were taken over by TSB,and then Lloyds. No doubt a cunning plan hatched by Baldrick and fellow rats in the sewers of Bristol.
And would you believe it, the same names just keep cropping up:eek:
