US to lift lamb import ban

And why don't we just put a Union Flag on it and call it British Beltex Lamb.

In fact, I have just patented the term, but am willing to sell the rights...............
Just to add: We should call it 'British Beltex Lamb'' and put a Union Flag on one side, and a photo of Boris on the other.

Boris has just flown back from meeting the President in the White House, on a plane renamed ''Hair Force One''.

And the only reason why Welsh lamb has any credentials is that for years, in a TV soap watched by billions of folk five times weekly, Fred Elliot had a prominent poster in his butcher's shop advertising Welsh Lamb.

I would never consider either, if I'm spending my hard earned cash I'll get the real thing, at least aged 7 years, single malt and distilled and bottled in Scotland!!!😆

Why waste money on malt whiskies when most folk can't distinguish them from Whyte and Mackay's blended grain whisky. In fact, if I had a pub, I would buy a few bottles of different expensive malt whiskies ( Glemorangie and Glenfiddich etc) and just top them up with it. And not even a Canadian connoisseur would know the difference.

PS. One of the best accompaniments with British Lamb is red Currant Jelly. Retailers should give a free jar with each purchase.

I think you might underestimate the sophistication of the North American palate... 🤔
As for differentiating between various types and blends of whiskys , you make that out to be like a drinking challenge.....

I'll take that up with you if that is your intent should I ever get to your part on the edge of Europe... 😉😄

When there's thick fog in the English Channel, it's Europe that's cut off.

And what is the plural of whisky - whiskies or whiskys?

You are absolutely correct in that the average American will not have a clue what or where Wales is, they might think it is an island off the UK.

The important factor is to pool resources and go into the high end meat traders. The budget needed to get this market started will be significant and will require levy money from all the nations.
After all it will benefit all sheep farmers if we can sell a few hundred tons.
10% of Americans have never left the state in which they where born!
Those would probably struggle to identify California on a map let alone Wales
