Vented Liners

I moved to triangular non vented IP10 liners last autumn. I kept my old claw pieces and bought the shells. Could be coincidence but I have never trained my heifers so quickly. Some started out pretty evil, Viking reds x jersey x were the worst. The Jersey crosses try to kick the units off but Red crosses try to kick your head off. However all were trained within a week. Most never had the kick bar on. I've had bugger all mastitis and cells and bacto both good but I was top band anyway so couldn't really put that down to liners. Teat end condition excellent.
I do have a couple of cows which still slip, mother and daughter oddly enough, but otherwise I'm pleased with the liners.

Does the triangle liner fit into a deleval cluster. Dont know what clusters iv got just whatever came with the parlour

Not for the vented liners we are looking at, I don't think. Maybe wrong?

Son has finally spoken to the Milkright guy and the deal is a complete unit including claw that is swopped at 6 monthly intervals for a consideration.

Only downside is that the demo is only for 2 clusters. How are you supposed to know if they work or not? That's only 3% of our clusters ...

Anyone using them? Thoughts?

We had them for about a week and chucked them out, milked out front quarters much quicker than rear and added too much time to milking, caveat being that we milk OAD. I was disappointed because several people whose opinion I respect used them and were happy with them. Although they acknowledged longer milking time was an issue, they had lower SCC with them.

There's nothing wrong with the milkrite claw piece but the cluster exchange is £50+ a time.

Ask them to send 8 plastic and 8 stainless weights for the shells. They first sent mine with all stainless weights and it was unpleasantly heavy, then they swapped for all plastic weights and it was too light and increased milking time. Now I have light plastic shells on the front and heavier stainless ones for the back two and it works well.

We are on square liners, not sure if there vented. I love them, if you where aloud too, they will do a season easily....obviously only allow them to stay in for 2000 milkings, but they come off like new
Which would be one of the main reasons why I like them. Reliable up to three times the stated milkings.

I had the triangular liners with plastic shell's on that last parlour I put in at the other place, transformed milking for me, shoulders and elbows are shot from so much milking, made life a lot more pleasant.

What is the reasoning behind changing all the units
Just put in a nice light weight unit ,a good set of liners and jobs a good un

That‘s how the deal works. Everything gets changed at 6 monthly intervals

Have a look at the link in the OP. Certainly the milkers were saying milk let down was quicker on the two clusters
