Last year I had a couple of Gurkhas with land rovers large tents and an entire communication system set up in one of my fields. An officer had put them there in the night. I wasn’t that worried but suggested that they might like to get back on the training area, which was a 20 yard move. Problem was that to do it they had to shut down the whole exercise happening on most of Salisbury Plain. It took a while, Gurkhas are the politest soldiers I have met.

I found a similar set up a few years ago, turned out they were signallers from Blandford, but their navigation can't have been too good as we're miles from a training area. I left them to it as they weren't hurting.

We had Chinooks flying low past our house on night exercises most Tuesday nights when we lived dahn sarf. They would carry large cement blocks to recreate a stripped down Land Rover ,drop them in a clearing and fly off. The paras would emerge from the undergrowth and do what they had to do before the Chinook returned to take the thing away again. I used to make a retreat during this and often imagined a Cpl Jones sat on the block "engine running, sir, we're driving down the road nmm, nmm, nmm. ".

Chinooks make my house shake, they are usually landing at the camp up the road

Is that for the Fendt owner who has everything?
maybe a new type of experimental DD ?

just wait till it dries up a bit then a telehandler and a couple of scabby rachet straps will soon sort it?
