Around here A 140 tractor is 50 an hour if the hp of that valtra is needed tractor min 70 euro per hour

Most modern tractors are £10 in depreciation, add on servicing at £2 per hour, tyres at £2 per hour and say 15l diesel at 60ppl per hour so that's another £10. Add in a man at £15 and there's your £39 before profit.

Tractor wouldnt get an hrs work around here if that was your rate. I would buy an extra one if i could find a neighbour willing to pay it.

When you take the hrs on the clock that you don't get paid for you definitely need £ 50 for the paid hrs to break even. Put tripple mowers on it and you will get £250/hr.

Dont do much by the hour unless to help out try to do everything by acre . bale . load . etc but your mans not wrong at 35 .....40 for 230 hp

As much as you can, but certainly no less than your cost. If you don’t know that figure, you really shouldn’t be in the contracting business.

Not really, i was carting silage with a 1135 fastrac and 16t trailer last week. If my trailer was full at bottom of field. The 800hp chopper had other trailer full before i was out of gate, just a 25 acre field. The 220hp tractor behind was lapping me.

It is, and fudge all technology in it compared to the £100,000 tractor.
£90 for a decent sat nav, and bobs your uncle.

And a new set of tyres will cost a couple of hundred not a couple of thousand.
Even a full service will only cost a hundred pounds not a thousand.

Im not familiar with rates of depreciation but it did occur to me that tyres are not cheap any more and were going to be £1/hr at least?
