Maybe he got some rain in April and May?
Made some 2 weeks ago meadow grass 47 RB in 10 acres (organic) . Turned twice shattered to bits .
We did have nearly 30 mm end of April early May.
We made quite a lot of hay at the end of May. The round baler didn't like it much - too short. Have quite a bit more to do so hopefully the grass will have grown a bit more. All the fields are still brown from silage, which was down by about 1/4 on the same acreage and now all the cattle are turned out on the fields so there won't be a second cut.
Luckily we have lots of hay from last year so they have something to eat.

We manage to have missed all the rain that was forecast. Had a 10 minute shower yesterday that has made the lawn grow, but nowhere near enough to do any good. No rain of any amount for April, May and now June.

We had 30 mm yesterday and another storm has just deposited another 10 mm.
Contractor couldn’t get onto the fields to spray the maize today , as it was too soft to travel.

Not had as a much as the @silverfox, 20 miles North, but we've finally seen appreciable wet stuff. Place looks and smells totally different already.

Lucky sod, nothing of any note for weeks here, dribs and drabs of 1mm showers etc, still Thurs looks more hopeful.
