Coastal erosion is a permanent thing, agreed, but change in climate can reduce it or expedite it.Coastal erosion has nothing to do with climate change. You can see parts of the UK where dunes are being formed and the coast is growing. It’s near impossible to see sea level rise in the UK becasuse of the tides. You have to go off those islands that are inches above the water or somewhere like Bangladesh.
I know a place near Cardigan where a change in sea level can most definitely be seen; the area is neutral regarding isostatic rebound, some rocks there that were once almost always just above high tides, are now almost always just below high tides. Since the ground isn't lowering, the obvious corollary is that the sea is rising.
