If you can pull 4 furrows with 100hp sumat like a TM150, 155, 165 would be ideal.

they will lift a heavy 6 furrow not bother as long as the front has plenty weight on it.

What ploughs are you guys using?

The main issue with 6f in my opinion is weight out back of tractor. Stress on everything when turning over or on a sidelings. Know guys that have went to 6f and back to 5f because 6 too big and breaking castings on linkage. They are running 200hp plus tractors.

Do any of you do any winter ploughing? Is grip never an issue?

Saw a 900 series fendt with a 6f otherday and looked a well matched outfit. That was a 100 clearance kv plough.

How light is the land? I worked at 1 farm with a few JD 7710’s pulling 6f RB100 semi mounted KV’s, 20” wide doing 13-14kmh, much nicer job than the TM190 and 6f fully mounted kv that was with me.

a TM155 would pull a 6f semi mounted, a TM175/190 for fully mounted. JD 8400?

Possible some in southern Ireland. Would love one but dad needs more electric gears so no point in it. Normally he did all mowing here with 8400 valmet but this year prefers the ts 115 so looks like nh coming again soon
