agree with all your post, but to add - that for us to still not know on the 13th December is unacceptable. Businesses need to make investment decisions, hauliers need to arrange contracts and staffing rotas and they can’t do so with any certainty. This is just too late.
There will be an implementation period for wto I believe , 3 -6 months iirc

most EU serious things go to the wire, it's a who blinks first, attitude. B/all we can do about it, certainly not helpful to business, but that is the way EU works, it's a miracle they can get 27 countries to agree something anyway. As this is one of the pivotal moments for the EU, one can presume each member state, is working out the implications to their individual state, and every one coming up with a slightly different view, to merge all that, into one collective way, is miraculous. But, according to the spanish guv rep this morning, it would be disastrous for a no deal to happen, and yes, gibralter came up. So, it looks like we are at the point, of who blinks first wins, bloody stupid. Best way now, no deal, and then sort out mini deals, on what can be agreed, without the media howling.

True but and it's a big but ,if something gets pulled out of the hat by Jan1st
Bojo should be given some slack.
