As above , the idea is that it will crush some clods in bare patches ,thereby creating seed to soil contact? I say that as looks to have been a job to conserve moisture where crops have been planted conventionally.

On the basis that many commercial property tenants are asking for reductions or deferment of rents should we as farmers be asking landlords for the same ?

If I were to put 200kgs/ha of urea down the spout for spring barley, being all of its N requirement will it burn the seed? My view is use less total N but place it better for spring malting barley on strong land. I currently put about 30kgs liquid N down the spout but I am looking at converting...

Does anyone have experience of the different tillering rates of the main varieties on the market? Is there any real difference? I'm thinking of varieties like Planet, Diablo and Cosmopolitan. Any help gratefully received in order to fill in my ignorance, having not grown it since 2013!
