All an Eco-Wipe

Hi.
I have acquired a Allman Eco-Wipe weed wiper, that needs new carpet applicators.
I have emailed Allmans in Chichester but am not holding my breath as the machine was originally made in 1995.

Has anyone any ideas on where I may get suitable replacements.

Update: Allmans have ceased trading so that is a non starter so definitely need to look at after market products.

Well a bit of a result but not a solution yet.

Allman Sprayers Ltd trading name and inventory of spare parts was acquired by Billericay Farm Services.

Though they did not have any replacement carpets or underfelt they were able to provide the original drawings for the machine complete with pipe sizes and dimensions.

I have to say a very big thank you to Steve Collis in the parts department for his help.

The plan is to renew the piping and replace the carpet on the rollers and get it functioning.

Did you ever get this going again? I’m after a weed wiper if anyone has one; a carpet type one (micron, edlington etc)

Do you want to hire one a new micron , £180 a day
Thanks. It’s a good thought; I was thinking more to get something sorted for next year. I can imagine a lot of grassweed issues this time next year along with some weed beet. Too late for this year apart from maybe some wild oats. Have you done blackgrass with it?

Experimental On a bit of ryegrass , when new sprayer comes will be looking at putting the micron pads on the front of the horsch boom , if the levelling as good as they say will have ability to do 24 m instead of running between trammies 🤫

We made up a wiper to go on our sprayer last year, was a couple of weeks to late by the time I got it sorted, needed to drive slowly as boom leveling isn't auto on our oldish bargam, but it certainly has potential to be a game changer, well until you get left with dwarf black grass but at least a thick crop should shade most out.
