More bad news, I'm afraid.
Despite keeping a watch on things during every daylight hour since their 4 am attempt on Thursday morning we lost another 8 (or 9 - physical count doesn't agree with the race eid reader) lambs between midnight and 3.30 am on Saturday morning.
This time they drove a bunch of mixed lambs from 3 fields away, through 2 lots of electric fencing (there's fecking wire everywhere) to the same place on the main roadside where they got the other two lots.
They've left a bit more DNA and some fingerprints this time apparently.

Spent the last two days moving sheep to other grazing we have away from home until we can get these barstewards sorted out:mad:
Absolute b@stards!!!!:mad::mad: I couldn’t think of any worse! They should be hung drawn and quartered

Absolute b@stards!!!!
Update...........
They had another go on Saturday night. This time we got one of 'the absolute b@stards' in handcuffs(y)
Unfortunately 3 or 4 more got away as the police helicopter was 'otherwise engaged' :(

Vehicle seized :)

Can't say any more at the moment (don't want to jeopardise the investigation) but it looks like we're making some progress at last(y)

Glad you managed to catch at least one of the b@stards! Can you say of which religious belief they were?

I am delighted that you are making progress. I was surprised that they kept returning to the same place. They would have to be extremely foolish to come back again now.

They're a very 'brass-necked' lot - they've been loading them over a post and rail fence only yards from our neighbour's farmhouse.

A young lady who has a few sheep only 3 villages away rang us last night as 2 vehicles had been seen 'loitering' in the vicinity of her lambs.
I'm afraid we're not going to stop it unless we get them all caught.

I do hope the CPS take it seriously and the police manage to round up the rest of the gang. I caught three blokes who had stolen about five ton of firewood and they would not prosecute, I was bloody furious and complained but to no avail

That would be the danger - everything seems 'weighted' against the victims in these cases. Don't want to say too much at the moment, I hope to have better news and will keep you all posted when I can.
The 'wheels' of justice do seem to turn rather slowly though.

It’s terrible. The have been several cases of illegal halal abattoirs running in blocks of flats in Gloucester. Despite the flat being full of bloody knives and butchered sheep, CPS have not proceeded due to “lack of evidence”.

Good luck!

Corrected that for you (y)
Funny i heard somewere that sheep and lambs for islamic religious festivals had to be paid for or they wouldnt be holy as they were considered stolen if the sheep hadnt been paid for before the festival. Someone told me that thats why we only see the islamic buyers in ruthin just before festivals as they were sure to pay for festival sheep when other times they arent to be trusted for paying. There would apparently be a backlash from their honest customers and their religious leaders if they found out that they had been selling them 'unholy' meat for their festivals. But they had no such issues at other times if the year
This is what ive heard in market i dont know how true it is though i dont go often enough to know who the buyers are and were the sheep are going

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
