Bloody wellies

Used to use "Nora" for years until about 5 years ago, inside of sole split in two pairs within 6 or 8 weeks so gave up on them. Buckler £75 lasted less than two month, felt like wearing turned down waders and they leaked like a sieve.
Urgent need, only thing could find in my size was Dunlop branded cheepies. Lasted more than 6 months. Not bad for £15 inc Vat. Last replacements actually between 10 and 11 pound plus vat from D&H direct. Bought two pairs. Now always keep a spare pair ready as need wellies about 8 months in year. When they get a bit worn not quite as good grip on slippy ground, but best value I've found.

Recommended many times. Light, comfortable and long lasting. Also good traction on slick concrete

I didn't mean that I had turned them Bucklers down, The elastic crap lost its stretch and flapped about.
I must say that for the first week they felt brilliant second or third week got first leak. Soon after the stretchy bit on one caught on a gate and stretched. It didn't return to its original shape.

Have you tried them without the insoles? I took mine out so I could wear them with thick socks and it gave more room around the ankle without losing any sole comfort.

It'll be a sad day here when they get holed.
Yes! - I took the insoles out after the first day! (Cramp in the calves trying to get them off with the boot jack - everything is hassle when you're old (n) ) I still have to wear thin socks though.

I’ve been wearing PU Techno Troya wellies from Kiwikit for several years. They seem to last ok (well, a year of constant wear anyway) and only £36/pair.
They’re not particularly heavy/clumpy and warm enough that I haven’t worn my neoprene wellies for a couple of winters.
Think it was techno's I tried from Kiwikit , must have been unlucky as the first pair lasted about 2 months and the replacement's they sent didn't last any longer.
Got a pair of noramax polyurethane , doing OK but the lining is wearing out and the insoles are long gone but still going

Did you never have a clip round your ear and get told to pick your feet up when you were a young ‘un? 🤐🤣

Nope, but I didn't wear the boots through they cracked straight across the soles. Wouldn't have been so bad if it had been winter when I'm in wellys all day but it was summer and was only wearing them night and morning for milking
Like I said maybe just unlucky

After a back injury I've gone for ariat boots with a shock absorbing sole, very comfortable, 6 months old so far not sure they'll make 12 months but my Berkinas wouldn't last 12 months either.
Other shock absorbing sole boots are available and I would highly recommend a pair for anyone suffering back or knee problems.

Very pleased with Dunlop Puroforts safety wellies which will be going into their fourth winter but are now resembling 'racing slicks'. Can't sing their praises highly enough.

However, in the interest of variety, grip and not falling on my ass in the fields, I decided to give Techno Troya safety wellies a try. Initial impressions are very good, certainly very comfortable (slightly more so than the Dunlops as they're a tad wider). £39 from Kiwi Kit but shop around as they are available much cheaper elsewhere. Can't comment on longevity.
