No frost here, just more rainIts typical. First good frost-free a long time and can actually get on the fields and its Christmas day!
No frost here. It'll take at least 10 days of dry weather before even considering field work.Who’s going to be the ‘hero’ lugging muck or slurry tank on this frost then?
frost not any where near hard enough or long enough to get these field's travel ableTempting isn't it. But with no livestock I can't find an excuse to go out. What other industry would even consider working Christmas day cos the weather is nice ?
Just been out with the dog across the fields ,its frosty and cold but i dont think it would take much to break the crust .
Same here nice and dry didn’t make a mark. Filled four rings up with silage. Minus 2.5C here overnight.Been across the field with the loadall to feed the sheep early this morning...it was a decent frost but not enough to stop the loadall marking
Family lower down in the village used to like taking out slurry mixed with silage effluent out on xmas day, it's a wonder they had any milk customers after that.Best fire up the muck leading or spreading this afternoon
Something aromatic for the local villagers
