No not at all. I never said that.So you think all these manufacturers have their own factories producing spares do you?
but there's often a different quality from an oem supplier to a spurious one

I think its true to say China will make a part to whatever quality you want and they will look the same. This is my point because I am saying there isn't. 20 years ago maybe, but today in the age of china there isn't. I've a friend who imports container after container of stuff made in china and he's visited factories out there to buy stuff and it doesn't matter whether it says genuine, oem or none genuine. It all comes from the same place.

Around 5-6 years ago my 4370 needed new cab mounts all round. Rang dealers and they were 200 for the set, rang local motor factors they were 100 for the set of vapormatic so i went with them. They lasted 3 months so i took them back and they offered to replace them but i asked for my money back and went and bought genuine. The original set had done mabe 7-8000 hours the vapormatic set did 3 months and the replacement mf set is stil on her so i wouldnt be convinced in this instance they came from the same place and if they did they certainly werent made from the same quality rubberThis is my point because I am saying there isn't. 20 years ago maybe, but today in the age of china there isn't. Oh and what about the copy Lucas unbranded starter motors?! you cant honestly try and tell me they are the same quality as the originals
No some are actually better
Father in law worked at David Browns, when Alternators were £15 exchange from Lucas agents, DB were paying less than £4 for them complete with fan and pulley
If one got dropped damaging the plastic end case or just didn't work when fitted they were just thrown in the scrap bin, apparently quite a few had the end case smashed, especially by men who had a British Leyland or Ford car fitted with an alternator.
Well thats not the case at all, i know of a non branded bearing vapormatic sell for carraro axles and its rubbish, the rollers and race break up, i spend an extra £18 for a genuine Carraro branded wheel bearing and they are fine. Ive used other branded versions timken, SKF etc etc and all the top brands are also fine, but have had similar problems with cheap Fersa branded ones.
Loads of cheaper unbranded aftermarket track rods on the market for telehandlers some are okay some are really poor, some are no cheaper than OEM! Hats off to Sparex as most of theirs that i have used are stamped made in Italy and i have no complaints about them at all and you wouldn't actually tell the difference if it wasn't for the bag! sadly they are the more expensive aftermarket option normally and some dearer or same as OEM but i would rather pay that extra than sell cheap tat.

Regardless of aftermarket or OEM all parts are made to a price no matter if there out of the same factory or not.

Clearly I am not saying MF are using the same factory as Vapormatic as their are hundred of manufacturers. What I am saying is that MF do not have their own factory producing their own cab mounts. They buy them in so will choose their supplier carefully of course.
......and then put a massive markup on top for that “assurance”.
Trouble is not all genuine parts are really the best of the best.
Had straw chopper joystick snap on control box, phoned dealer, £150 plus postage on stock order. Took box apart and original manufacturer was stamped on the bottom with part number, googled it and had it next day genuine for £16 from RS components. Just because it comes in a box with manufacturer written on it doesn't mean they made it, simply sourced it and use it on thier machinery
I am afraid I respectfully disagree as I have seen this first hand via my friend who's importing around £5 million worth of stuff per year from China. I can assure you the stuff he sells also goes as 'genuine parts'. Manufacturers go to great lengths to make the customers think 'genuine' parts are from a different world to none genuine, when in reality they are doing deals with the none genuine suppliers via 3rd party companies to supply them back with 'genuine' parts.
Which website do you use for new Holland parts?
