Jumping before being pushed would be the smart move! If the bank closed on you then you only have less choices, not none! If i where in that situation my choice would be to go back to uk. I'm not a one trick pony, i will make a living on my terms where i choose. I think Uk would be a good choice for anyone with the ability to generate their own income from multiple sources. Either way i don't see being here a challenge in the true sense, though challenging some days! I would rather wish people luck in the future than label them as a failure. Only a man who never tried, never failed!! At least he had the balls to try!!

I don’t understand why you are so bitter towards other people, as far as I know they never done you any harm! You only ever criticise and reduce yourself to insults and spread gossip amongst the community here. Possibly something missing in your life? But now I know who you are talking about. They are not going home. If you took the time to speak to local people you wouldn’t need to peddle rumours.

It's not rumours when I've been to the Judiciare auction this morning, but what I was looking at was not included, as it hadn't been paid for and there's a stop on it now, saw someone there who can't get their carte de sejour etranger. Best of all they voted for Brexit.
And I'm certainly not bitter, I didn't have to come out here and re invent myself while subsidising it with UK property, there's plenty who do that, while criticising France and the opportunities it affords. The UK was always a country where you could work at nearly anything and returning is ok if you've got property there, but not so easy for someone to start there now with house prices and rents as they are. Person I saw this morning is stuck, can't afford to go back and pinning everything on an appeal. It's the kids I feel sorry for.

I couldn’t agree more, nightmare situation, especially when the kids are involved. But that’s not the people you criticise in you previous post (stacking haylage at the side of the road). Tread carefully when spreading gossip, it will bite you in the arse if you get it wrong!

Seriously though, are the people who are subject to an "order judicial" local to us? I genuinely heven't heard that!

I think we're talking about 3 different people.
1, I went to the Official Judiciaire auction this morning . I watched the kit sold . You can't argue with that.
2, It's officially published in the le figaro , interdit bancaire. You can't argue with that.
3, Making a decision to go further afield after improving a property while your young enough to be allowed entry is to be applauded.
Oh and 3 , stacking on the side of the road is true, backing out blind and my French neighbour told me !
So not spreading rumours at all.

Are you talking about 1, or 2 ( it doesn't apply to 3 as you know)

Anyone got any popcorn? I've run out, no doubt because of Brexit. Oh and a translator please as most of this is in foreign.

Sorry I edited my post as you where typing. Yes we are at cross purposes i think, I don't know the people you refer to under order judicial.
The other person is my son in law who has haylage stacked on his property, between his building and the road. The people in the village there and the maire have no problem with him. In fact he and his family are welcomed to the village for apero's and food regularly until last autumn and covid restrictions. They tell him that they are happier now that the previous french farmer has gone as it was a "neglected rat infested sh!thole" and he was a lazy b*stard, their words not mine. It's also no secret that they are selling up and moving on. Not easy in the current climate. Locally there are at least 5 farms for sale within our commune. Owning a farm here is almost a liability at the moment!
