Kramer vs JCB

Most of them seem to have been very busy for their age though.

We kept our JD3420 but i remember the same sort of debate back then against
a JCB 530-70 i'm real glad we didn't go JCB at the time.

They don't seem to be shifting easily. 26 in stock in one dealer alone 2018 to 2023 models and they are generally the same price as JCB used.

About the same number then as the secondhand stock of a big JCB dealer in Shropshire.
Not sure what your point is.

Just saying that with JCB you are guaranteed a decent residual value. Yes they break down like everything but at least its a safe place to put your money. These kramer's I am not so sure at the minute because there just seems to be a lot on the used market that dont seem to be selling and why are people swapping them after 3 years or so?

If your doing 4000hrs in 3 years like a lot of the sh ones for sale then it
makes sense to flip them and buy a new one with full warranty.
Remind me what the standard warranty is on a JCB.

Seems to be 900-2000 hours for a few of them. That said I'm going to look at one tomorrow :D

Alot of whine in the kramers when you use the brakes, makes it sound like your struggling to stop. Mirrors are stuck out like elephants ears . A few of the auto lube pipes on the headstock tilt are easy to knock too. Nice machines though .

Got a kramer kt407 doing about 1400hrs a year, just looking at getting another. I am in no way biased or favour any colour or brand. We've had jcb in the past and the cab on the jcb is better and controllability of hydraulics is better, the joystick is better, jcb can tow better, jcb have better lights (led standard) jcb is british built 👍. Jcb has better visibility. But for what we use them for wrapping silage, picking bales off the land, mucking out long sheds etc the Kramer transmission is untouchable jcb have had a go at it and its rubbish 15km max in hydrostatic mode! I want to be doing 30kmph back to the trailer not messing about changing gear. If jcb had the same transmission in as the kramer we'd buy 2 tomorrow.

I'd say the the engine and hydraulics of the Kramer were superior to any JCB offering. The Cabin is more workman like I would say. Joystick I couldn't say which I preferred.

You can dial down the response of the hydraulics on the Kramer, I always found medium was ample. As you say their transmission is just for the win.

There was 1 in this area changed out within a year. He got a jcb 538.60 and equivalent kramer at the same time .
Kramer was away within a year I don’t know why tho .
