Considering a kubota m9960 tractor , won't have to work hard , 50 acres , grassland chores , moving bales.
What peoples thoughts experience of these machines?

Lightweight stockyard tractor. More than capable of handling 50 acres of farm work.

You will find the cab not as well finished as some but for your needs it will be fine.

Other brands are available.

Half decent seat and radio is all it needs , air con is nice but chain harrowing and rolling is that noisy

I've got a M7040 and that is more than capable of doing what you want. I now use use it more than than before because the big tractor had some hydraulic problems. It does fert spreading, spraying, hay making not generally baling but it can do, bale hauling dry silage and hay and straw and is the loader tractor. It's only limiting factor is it's weight 3.3 ton with the loader on but driving it with consideration it's fine.

id say no, had an M series and just not happy with the tractor had no end of gearbox grief. Parts are expensive to say the least. They basically shaft you on any parts. Theres no "after market " alternatives like every other brand out there. Id be looking at a different colour.

Yes was a warranty issue the first time, second time became a headache. Got shut of it.

go have a look at anything for a kubota - i.e. the compact line of parts

A rebuild kit for example a MF 3095 tractor with pistons £4-500.00

a rebuild for a 3 cylinder 17,5Hp kubota well over 1500.00 pounds with pistons the same as above ? ( Prices quoted from E.G Coles )

this guy in the states repairs tractors including large series John deeres he explains clearly the issues:

From what I hear Kubota are looking to grab a large chunk of the market,
They aren't in the game to be laughed at or ridiculed.
Yes, from local gossip they are putting a very smart yard/showroom/expensive etc up this way after the Lister Welder?Chandlers business. I feel it's only a matter of time before they get it all together, esp in the medium to large size tractor class.

Perhaps they will buy the old Colt Car company site and knock the trees down so it is highly visible as you drive into Cirencester? Or they get a site by Western Harvesters by the market? Who knows?

Good for competition having 3 different dealers so close. Should keep prices reasonable. Chandlers, Listers and Claas, and as said TAG isn't too far away either

Oh so maybe close to where TAG are building just west of the airfield. The market site is quite and expensive rent I believe.
Oh no, they are up at the Class place then, I knew one mob was going up to the airfield, TAG as you say. Yes old Fordy has done well up there, good luck to him!
