Where’s the best place to buy discs and plastic part between discs of a Kuhn venta combination drill? Priced from local dealer but needing £98/disc which seems outrageous!

There is several Kits available but the one i got for my LC 3000 Seedflex Drill came with both discs & riveted onto the hubs with bearings complete & also new rear scrapers, 4 plastic mounting bushes & 4 O rings, also new Plastic Seed Del tubes etc. £96 for each set which i didnt think was that bad. the discs on there own are like some one said £30 odd each.
Keeping the bolt/pin system free from wear that each assembly hinges from is as Important i think & if you doing the bushes 9/10 times you might aswell fit new pins also & there
after much faffing about coz they had the longer ones 3 times the price they should have been around £5 & £8 each. Its a faf of a job changing it all but am no mechanic & i managed it all.
The 10mm Hex Bolt wont need replacing that holds the Discs in place but its an awkward sod to get at. unless you remove the main hanging bolts.
You also get the upper Metal Curved Support bar in the kit as well

Just to add just looked up prices on my invoice.

Part No. KUK3031910 Kit Maintenance £98.35
Hanging Pins
Short one KUK3004541 £6.69
Long one KUK3004600 £8.17

I’ve just picked up an old used venta ti 402, the part prices Kuhn want are outrageous! The bearing is ceased on the metering system, to pick on one part, Kuhn want over £350, when you see the bearing it makes no sense! Coulter tubes are £270! for the naked tube.

It’s number 2 on the part list, are we talking the same bearing? I am also going to need to replace the 2 rubber strips just under the metering wheel, they are not on that parts diagram, anyone seen them, kramp want £67 each!

Yep, we had the metering bearing go and needed one asap, couldnt find an alternative anywhere so had to go main dealer, £350 for a bearing ??, the seed tubes were starting to crack so bought a big roll and cut to size for thr price of 3/4 genuine ones. The wiring loom that goes from the control box to the drill which is basically 3m of wire with a dozen or so plugs on one end and a big plug that goes into the control box on the other was £970!!! Kuhn really know how to charge.

I have managed to get the bearing going again, left it soaking in wd40, spins very smoothly and free now but for how long ?‍♂️ it wasn't the plastic tube I wanted, it's the coulter legs/tubes, kuhn call them tubes. Had a real result, got one off ebay, £28 to door, old stock unused ? that was the real buggered one sorted, the other two just took some heat and a hammer!

Yea that sounds like outrageous prices, outrageous enough to put you of buying a Kuhn manufacturers need to look at themselves I reckon. An example kv Plough metal is competitive with spurious suppliers so nearly every kv owner I know buys genuine kv metal then buys another kv Plough good business model I reckon for manufacturer and owner

Yes we very often buy genuine kv metal as theres very little in it, kv tungsten is astronomical though compared to MDT, APM etc. Really does put you off looking a kuhn cultivation kit tbh, shame as its an excellent drill with very even establishment, our best crops this year are behind one
