Just a curious thought.
Realy struggling to keep the grain from ending up back on the floor, never been a problem until we started the MF adventure. Is it something I'm doing wrong in setting it or are they just not as good at sorting the mass of material, tried all sorts of settings and speeds and still getting the same problem
I will confess to being a little lacking in knowledge on setting a combine, as was trailer boy until Dad retired and he seems to be lacking in advice since retiring, so in at the deep end a bit

Check the rubber seal at the front of the grain pan and the seal between fan and sieve box. Chaff and debris get lodged in the gap between the sieve box and fan and makes a nice home for rats to chew holes in. The fan air will then not get distributed correctly. The grain pan seal at front will throw grain out the front giving appearance it is coming out the back.

They do Chuck a bit out the back, but getting the thing set right to minimise it is a bit of an art.
I tend to have the rs tight for wheat and fast, but some run it slower.
Depends what you're losing really.
I can watch the loss monitors and see the walker losses go up by going faster, but sieve losses reducing.
I try to keep them balanced.

I don't really push hard though.
Had the old girl crying for mercy yesterday, yield meter saying over 15t, and it's average is about right, chopping straw, going up hill, unloading on the move, she said enough.
Quick change of air filter, blast rad out as she was running warm and we were away again

Could be a number of things, you'll have to be more specific as to wear the grain is to get some useful answers.

Sorry, grains on the floor under the straw, sieve monitor is reading minimal and cant see any leaks. Got worse yesterday as the moisture dropped and the straw broke up more. Slowed the drum, opened the concave no different, varied speed, still the same.

I try to drive to get a sample and it in the tank, hence the frustration of losing some no matter what I try

Is there any adjusters to level the sieves? I've a different combine I know, but I dropped the front of my lower sieve, as I was getting a lot of good clean corn going back threw returns, that was adding more to the seperation duty of the top sieve causing overload and throwing corn over the back. Only dropped it 20mm (one hole) but its made a big difference.

How many grains ? How wide is header.

Headers width often get wider but losses still fall on about the same area.

Have you got plenty of wind on, mistake is to keep reducing it, but it is sieves overloaded not blowing over normally..

MF 72724 Winds on 900rpm - Drum on 1050rpm - Concave 7 It has a 22 foot Powerflow header speeds tried 3.5kph through to 5.3kph sieves at 10mm top and 8mm bottom grains left approx 20-25 under a size 9 boot but didn't count them on the floor under the straw swarth, not finding much outside the swarth line

Any concave filler plates on that machine? In or out

Also have you worked through the hints and tips section on the screen.and as said check for leaks on seals I've just found a hole worn through at the top of the clean grain elevator spitting out grain.
