Mole Catchers

Tell me to my face , anytime,....come up to Inverclyde, Scotland 😐👍

Saved myself a fiver today 😁

Several Traps tripped but no mole, so obviously a lot of learning to do, but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day.

There are plenty of internet sources of advice on mole trapping available these days. Like much of what you can read on the internet 🤐, some of it is nonsense, but it’s a good start.

New traps work just fine btw, no need to bury them for a week and all the other nonsense. Clean hands are fine too, but I wear disposable gloves just to keep my hands cleaner.

I use cheap plastic balloon holders (£6 a 100) as trap markers, after a post on here.👍 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Karaloon-4...sticks&qid=1608541955&sr=8-11&tag=googhydr-21
Quite alot of that, is right,...

Earth-thrower , interesting traps in photo in other post. Tunnel trap, not seen one like that before and other trap with sides turned up, did you do this?
What was the point?
Does it make any difference?
Be interested in your answers. Cheers

Thanks for your post, mate,....aye , oh the photo 🙄😂,....that is a wooden full barrel, mole trap,....its a design the early mole catchers used, & I think they were possibly made still, right up too the fifties,......I only ever seen a photo or two in an old book,.....& NEVER thought I ever get to see one , in the flesh , or indeed use one, in these more modern times,.........until I discovered a certain old gentleman (mole & rabbit catcher, etc) ,....courtesy of the Internet, who was still an advocate of this trap type......by the name of Bob Merrin !

Any one using the putange traps successfully? I’ve still not caught anything with them apart from flipping backfills! The old scissor traps I find are much better than them. Really fancy a talpex or two now to try out

Wont go wrong with a genuine talpex, dont waste your time with ebay cheap ones. Use them as my name trap and 9/10 when set off will have caught

Moles caught correctly, in the half barrel or duffus design, with full trap modifications
