New red tractor standards agreed

I think it's a genius plan of red tractors. They know farmers are fed up with it, I know they're thick skinned but even they know the general feeling amongst farmers.

Bring the new rules out at a very busy time when most will just toss the letter to one side and by this time many will have or will be about to have sheds filling with corn, some of which will need moving but at the 11th hour anyone who wants to chuck red tractor in the bin like many have said they'll do won't be able too as non assured takes a while to find homes for initially.

So basically they've planned the while thing so we have to except it to keep the combines going and by the time we have time to digest it in the autumn there'll be corn sold on contracts as assured and we will have no choice but to continue.

The reaction to there new rules wouldn't have been so rosey if they had published them in June when many have empty sheds.

New rules have been ‘agreed’ but they’re not going to release them for another month until we’re all busy combining. A ‘good time to bury bad news’ and less time for growers to react to them.
Absolute disgrace
Did they not have a consultation on proposed new rules?
I’d be surprised if there is anything in the new rules that wasn’t in the consultation.
I’d also be surprised if much of anything has been dropped/amended due to the consultation

Let's not get too excited. This is only a pointless announcement to say they have made a decision but won't tell us what is.

Maybe, just maybe[ :ROFLMAO: ], in light of all the feedback, the upheaval of removal of subsidies and the unknown outcome of international trade, they have decided to make no additions and remove existing requirements that don't directly relate to the quality and safety of FOOD.

“We’re changing the goalposts and not going to tell you what they are, but we expect you to still pay to sign up to them”

Absolutely fxxxxxx unbelievable. WTF are the NFU doing
They own a share of RT so are sitting on the side lines enjoying the gravy train while it lasts all financed by farmers who are too busy to stop their direct debit.

So whats the final simple new changes to RED TRACTOR then or have i missed the boat again? & for those asking the silly questions oh you dont have too be in it, hello Yes if you produce Grain in the UK iam afraid you do as very few places seem to want your grain whatsoever, my local 125,000t plus grain store cert cant take anything that isnt assured end of.
No but if they had an empty store they would store imported grain no question.
