The whole point of a new tractor is to sit in a nice cab listening to the radio
not opening the window letting dust in to hear a noisey exhaust…

Out of interest what’s the price of the 155m version
You don't need to drive them, just sit there and steer.

I enjoy work in comfort I’ve still the 8050 if I want noise and a stick shift…. But for 7 full days a week I know what I’d rather havePerish the thought of enjoying work!
NooooooooGet the stuff remaped outa her and stainless straightpipe will sort the problem i loved the sound of my 1455 case
Neighbour tried an ex demo one and they wanted £90,000 for it. He didn't buy it.Out of interest what’s the price of the 155m version
The day when they have almost completely silent engines and transmissions can’t come too soon.Just taken delivery of a new JD6155m, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice tractor but when compared to the previous 6630 it’s a bit dull to drive. I know they are not allowed to smoke when worked hard (which is quite right) but the engine has no bark to it at all in fact you can hardly hear what it’s doing and you only know it’s working hard when you look at the screen and it shows the revs are dropping.
When driving the old 6630 I very often opened the side window to hear the lovely bark of the engine!
Are all new tractors the same?
How many 6920 / 7530 would that buy?Neighbour tried an ex demo one and they wanted £90,000 for it. He didn't buy it.
not as many as it couldHow many 6920 / 7530 would that buy?
It's a house of cards!
I asked a man 20 years ago why he was swapping a 6800 for a shiny 6910 but still only had one tractor, payments AND depreciation.
He cancelled the 6910 and bought a 2nd 5 year old 6800.
He's been working with zero depreciation since then and has 10 tractors and no tax bill.
He owes me a pint.
Well the electric ones I`ve seen look like sh*t and they probably sound cr*p too. The poor dear would be well advised to get a really good one with an internal combustion power plant...o be honest everything bar serious money is mundane these days. Wife’s American colleague commented last week she’s always dreamed of owning a Ford Mustang…….. so now their employer is running a tax free offering she’s finally ordered herself an electric one!
Now THAT sounds like a REAL woman...My 08 reg 6480 is different, pulls well and has a lovely exaust note, puts a smile on your face type tractor. So much so the wife has claimed it as hers.

Recon it would be nearer 100 we’ve just bought a 4cyl 145hp fairly basic spec but it does have Gps and that was 85I believe it was in the 80 region but could be wrong!
