been quoted £28,000, for a 75hp new holland, cant remember model number, with a loader, a better investment, than a zetor. Not saying zetors are rubbish, far from it, they have their place, we have had several, but, you take a big hit, if changing to another brand. We bought our first zetor, and it was the first 4 wheel drive, back in the late 70's, very keen to try out, hitched the plough on, brill, till we went to lift the plough up, arms rose, plough didn't, unsatisfactory welding on the 3 point linkage ! It was easily remedied, but, i have never forgotten it, and always thought, not a 'long' hours tractor, great for the smaller jobs though.

Your right but think of the work sub 100hp tractors used to do. Ford 6810s, case 856xls, Jd 2850s. Propper machines.

Had a drive out in a very nice 3085 Dynashift today. 40k, air con works, heater works, air suspension seat in great shape, two speed wiper works, all lights brakes and indicators, cab in excellent shape and doors nice and tight.

Was a little slower up hills than what I’m used to but what a tractor that must have been in 1994.

Lots of 75 to 100 HP tractors available are extreme light duty and only suitable for yard scraping, small holdings or caravan parks. The tractor in the photo is my cousins and has been a disaster in terms of reliability. Back I the eighties and nineties I had 2 Zetor a 7211 and an 8540 both were strong reliable tractors that cost very little in maintenance. The 7211 was bought to reduce the workload on our CaseIh 885xl which was the most unreliable tractor we ever had. So my advice is avoid all the bargain basement utility type tractors 99496F00-5A88-4EAD-9D61-5B820D937924.png

they were excellent back them. My grandfather bought a 3095 in September 93. What a step up from a 698 2 wheel drive that was. Fantastic machine and still going today although not as tidy as it should be.

Customer was in tonight for a slurry pump on a 3095. Not totally immaculate but near enough. Wide tyres on it. I must say i think they are some of the nicest lookin tractors of the era. Just beautiful and they were miles ahead of the competition in thier day. Probably masseys finest era. Pity agco didnt put the same effort into product development today cause if they did theyd have the best tractor around

Completely new tractors in 86. Granddaddy of every modern tractor since.

Who knows of MF’s next range, they could be great.

i think the best tractors we have ever had here, to cope with the slopes etc, were the 6 cylinder JD 30 range, they were long, and simple to use. Modern tractors, are fine, definitely more comfortable, but dearer to run/maintain etc. Those old JD's just seemed to suit us.
