Ive got a couple of ridegline pintail smocks, got them on offer at some point. Very good as an outer layer to cut wind on the quad. Not overly warm though, and not totally waterproof, but good value I thought.

That's my experience with it too. Considering how thin it is, it's windbreak ability is very impressive!! I washed mine with Nikwax waterproofing stuff. Helped a lot. Need to keep it clean too, the dirt absorbs moisture and loads the fabric quicker.

Country covers/fortis makes a complete mockery of ridgeline or rivers west I've had pretty much all the jackets listed - the ridgeline makes u sweat like a pig if you do even a bit of walking or hard work and leaked like a sieve, rivers west is better in terms that it's waterproof let down by the fact it's too warm and the cuffs are too tight to pull up your arm (a must at lambing time etc) swandri is great for durability but not waterproof! Fortis do heaps of options (fleece lined or not, different colours etc) are hell of a hard wearing, waterproof and will even custom make you things (more pockets etc) and are made in Britain what's not to like!

These Army smocks are good value at the moment, just bought another 2 for myself. As waterproof as anything else I've worn, just put on layers underneath them if it gets colder, wear less if warmer.
Biggest criticism is only 2 chest pockets

You'd look stupid if you had more than 2 combat tits...

I have a ridgeline monsoon, good for keeping wind out, although i find if it gets a good soaking, takes a long time for it to dry out. Also have a hi vis padded jacket, the sort that police/council etc use, neighbour gave it to me, bloody good warm coat on a stormy day, although the cattle sh** themselves when i go into shed

I have a buffalo smock of one sort or another for the last twenty five years; the only drawback with them is that they are wholly nylon, so will melt. They are warm but easily ventilated, completely windproof and pretty waterproof if you treat them properly.

I've got the waist coat and it's excellent. Was thinking about the full arm length coat but 3/4 length just seams weird!

It's like men in 3/4 length trousers...(n)

Know a guy was out in NZ, wears a top a bit like that since coming home. Just an awkward length sleeve for me - and the cuff is far too open for my liking, especially when on the bike.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
