I broadcast some kale seed on my failed game strips yesterday. The rain we have had should give it every chance.
And if it doesn’t dry up soon then its fusarium time in my wheat ears. Not been a good year for wheat here.

I went for a brassicae based rescue mix from @Great In Grass and DD it in.

Sprayed out some failed mess this morning on the basis that the plants will suck up the herbicide now, and I will drill into it over the weekend, with an odds and end home blended mix! (y)

I just spun on some more kale with the fan jet on the sprayer. The plots are hemmed in by crops so didn’t want to trail the drill through them. We have had enough rain to get the seed going now. I didn’t spray off what was there as it’s mostly fat hen which makes some sort of cover in itself and seed for the birds later. There is also some kale there from the first drilling, not much though and pheasants have been grazing it down.

just posted on another thread 24 hours still counting and 82 mm we missed almost every rain event since the 11th of march to end of may so today must be the day with last weekends bit we must now be well over 4 inch and its not evaporating
