300 kg so far and i've ordered Profi Plus to provide another 30kg.

Anyone tried a tank mix fungicide with Profi Plus or similar?

I did Opus one year and it didn't work at all but Delsene M used to be fine.

Surely the paltry premium for a gp2 doesn’t justify any extra N?

Or have some of the millers decided to pay gp1 money for it, as was suggested a couple of years ago?

I cant get high protein out of it, the more N I give it the higher the yield, so I just aim for 210kg and 10.2% protein and a bit of hard biscuit premium.

Extase is being taken as Gp1 by ADM, so anything above 12% is good to go.

I’ve never grown it before but trying it and putting 180kg on same as the feed wheat on fairly well mucked land and see what protein is. But I’ve never seen such lush green flag leaves

Our current nitrogen recommendation chart shows Extase as being classed as having above average nitrogen requirements (3.2 units giving 100kg extra) and giving a good response to late nitrogen so showing an economic result from an extra 20 units late (60 instead of 40). This is the chart. For higher protein/milling look at the right hand side in orange and for late nitrogen the extreme right hand side.

Anyone spraying liquid urea through regular jets to "feed the leaf" for later N 'top up' applications?

No, but using some N28 I have off Procam in an IBC

So far Zyatt & Extase have had 325kg/ha Urea 46 and 5 lit/ha N28, another 10 lit/Ha of N28 will go on the ear

I’m afraid you will need much more than that to achieve more than 12% with Extase. We will go up to 300kg including Nufol and I’m not sure that will be enough. There are some decent premiums with 2 merchants.

Historically we are grp 3 growers but demand seems to be down for that the last few years so we’ve been on group 4s but thought I’d grow some to try it as it looks a good variety even if it’s feed. But with 180 on it looks so lush like it could almost go flat it’s had a fair hit of pgr too
