tractor for a straw blower

Depends how deep the moisture goes - though we store under cover I've fed a few bales left outside and the first few layers are hard going, and just end up with a mass of wet straw in one lump. Better to eject that outside first to get rid of it. If that's what you mean?

We ran a 2wd aircooled Deutz 72.07 on a kuhn primor 3560 for many years. It's 70 hp and maybe 40 liters of oil/min. It had a hand clutch for the pto. We never repaired the clutch. We ran it flat out for 5 big hesstons every day. Cheap and reliable.

The Teagle 8080 is 20 years old this year here the first 10 with a 165 then a 362 normally flat out, ,straw only but never needed any more power a pre cleaner on the air filter would be an advantage.

How long have you had the blower on your 362 for? Did it create any problems long term? I would like to put ours on a Kuhn primor.

This thread is ridiculous, all you farmers trying to justify that you can use old cheap tractors on a straw blower. Totally wrong, the op should stand up apologise for such a silly idea and order a brand new 200hp Fendt on finance with extended warranty and get it dealer serviced at least every two weeks!! 😂😂😂
did run a fendt 720 on ours for a bit !!!!!!!!!! dropped down to a 5713 now !!!!
