Is that something I can find out if I have before the unit arrives or do I just wait and see?

once I get my bits from Ardusimple is it literally just plug and play?
You will need to go on to the agopen wiki and follow the guide about configuration of the f9p and antenna and updating the software on it. Once done you should get gps signal. I started like that but soon realise i needed the bno085 for tilt and roll to make it more accurate, then before i knew it i was at full autosteer even though i didn't really need it 🤣

Don't listen to him @Headless chicken

I'm living proof that you don't need to succumb to the addiction. You don't need to become a mindless drone sitting idle while a computer steers your tractor. Help is available

If an rtk corrected lightbar is all you want, that's all you need create 👍

(unless of course your ground has hills, then a bn005 for roll correction makes sense, obviously)

(oh, and implement control is really handy to precisely lift and drop the plough, or the seeder, or the harrow, or the.....)

(.....and well, it's not that hard to add section control for the sprayer)

But anyway, fight the addiction, autosteer is not compulsory!!!

I’ve already got section control and Autosteer on the sprayer and I’d be lost without it. I don’t drive much of anything else but suspect id end up putting silage out on Autosteer if i did

It's not a crippling addiction...

Both myself and father have done some manual steering while planting this year. One toughbook has developed a blue screen addiction and father forgot that the other needs a mobile hotspot.
Hope your Father is keeping up with the latest version, about four, perhaps five software updates in the last 24 hours!

He mostly is happy with a third toughbook that has a SIM card in it and iirc still running 5.6.

Version 6 might come as a shock. No point pushing that on him just yet though, not until I have changed all the cmps to BNO anyway.

Once he sees how you can make AB lines by clicking on any two points on a field boundary...
