I have no undeclared conflicts of interest (a legal obligation as a company director) and most certainly have no paid or commercial involvement involvement in ANY agricultural representation or governance bodies, boards or quangos

frankly Sid you are making sh!t up that doesn’t exist
doing it already

www.gentle-farming.com

not looking for additional farms yet and when there is demand for more only those farming in ways that sequester and store maximum C whilst benefiting ecosystem

yes, a company I part own does have a small stake in gentle farming, no secret there, there are others also farmer owned trying to do similar as well (green farm collective and nufield carbon)

Thomas needed investment and help to get his ideas off the ground, contacted me and i was happy to help. His enthusiasm and effort to make this work has no limit. I have nothing to do with running Gentle farming and as a customer i’m treated exactly the same as any other

I think its a good thing that this is 100% farmer owned (Thomas is a 3rd gen regen farmer as well) - my fear is big corporates/ city boys will hyjack all this and will not work in farmers best interest if we are not careful
I am not making anything up.

5 months of promotion before admission of any direct relationship.

Of course you could have bought into Gentle farming on the 10th of July.

That posh food shop in Aberaeron is always shut to early for me
, if you get near Cross Hands pop in the farm shop there ,its a treat just to see it and the staff so welcoming
Do you mean Cwmcerrig? If so, terrible people. Have a look at their Trip Adviser and Google Reviews. Click on the link in green. The 'Terrible' reviews outnumber all the other category reviews added together times two.

Farmers come on here and talk farming and scrutinised everyday .
But most do it anonymously and of their own free will, whilst only revealing the bits send prices of their lives that they are happy to share.

Don't get me wrong, I don't defend the NFU, I don't support them in any way, but I don't see why some random Internet forum is worthy of any special recognition over any other.

Thanks, i fully understand how they montior i was mire meaning how they know they are ''engaging'' correctly. Mentions and key words doesnt necessarilry mean they are engaging correctly. Look at Trump. His name was in the media millions of times a day, was he doing a good job though!

Yes, but no one else is doing it unless I have missed them.

So don't knock the NFU unless you can show there is another organisation that tries to engage for our industry.

I was. Can you ask them to have their own scheme for members please? Leave the rest of us alone :)

I am sure it does.

I have always found it better to make constructive changes and criticism from within rather than shouting criticism from the outside which achieves little or nothing.

I am afraid if you are no longer a member then you need to join an alternative group, if there is one.
If your gripe is about RT then I entirely agree with all the criticism of all involved.

The press office I believe does a very good job and no other organisation has anything like it.

I actually think shouting from the outside does achieve something. You can then build community of like minded people who have a position to share and aggregate views.

So whilst I respect your opinion I don't think it true that external criticism is to be ignored

That old Chestnut!!!! I was a member but stopped as felt they were bloody useless, I still feel they're bloody useless so why would I waste yet more money on them, and to be frank my single vice would do nothing in the NFU.
Why would I join an organization that does sweet FA and even places uk growers at a disadvantage to imports?
You must think I'm stupid

Bless you. Jeremy has you in his enthral, like he has most on this forum. The gullible will be gullible I guess. Love Island is another show for the gullible.

Hes brought farming to peoples minds without doubt. All of my none farming friends watched it without any pushing from me and they all now ask farming related questions.

The £23 million a year the Nfu spend on salaries hasn’t done that for the last 40 years.
