Zetor - What's Not To Like?

Aye-up,

apart from the obvious pointing, sniggering and the possibility of my lad leaving home at 16 and disowning me, what could possibly go wrong?

Deutz engine, I'm told ZF and Bosch do the other chunks, but not sure.

Maybe not a great resale value but I'm not sure I would look to change too often. Would you look at a contractor differently if he had a Zetor rather than a Fendt?

Tell me about them please. Just musing.

Cheers, Pete.

I no a lad who buys and sells loads of the old ones easy to work on and last forever likely

havnt a clue on the new ones I’v had a look in a few and the cab comfort And levers looks abit to basic for a modern tractor if you do full daysprobably be fine tho if it’s for odd jobs and yard work

UK base in Coventry, although I concede that doesn't mean they offer service and parts from there.

I'm drawn to Case because their UK parts centre is at Daventry about half an hour away. I like the thought of emergencies being easy to resolve!

My cousin farms 2 miles away from the parts place but due to corvid having to drive an hour away to dealers for parts

wouldnt put me off a zetor, might buy one sometime as a yard tractor, or a landini. some how i really want a 14145, dont know why as our next big tractor will be fresher and nees power shuttle at a minimum, possible a another nh, owing to dads hip for clutch work.

I drove a 2005 model (I think) 130 hp zetor fronterra, just tanking slurry and muck spreading, I liked it, it was simple and did the job! Alright round the yard, not sure I would want 14 hour days on it but for the odd job I liked it

Are you saying you haven't bought that JD 7810 that was for sale in the reliable tractor thread you started? :nailbiting:

What's wrong with a duetz engine

I've a agrotron 110. 8000 hrs been spreading muck with a 12 ton Bunning this last week, for a 15 year old tractor I reckon it goes jolly well.
Not wanting to start a whole brand bashing thing here so simply put the 3 Deutzs (135,150.6, M620) I have done any amount of work with I have found to be lazy and gutless.
