NFU1 is still with the NFU and on a pick up based at Stoneleigh that tows the promotional educational trailer around.
couple of good plates locally, Ecosyl rep has EC05SYL and local Landrover has W1LJA on it.
Used to be in College with a chap Chris, nickname Wilja, from Cornwall, maybe him?
Rep called here with a new Volvo XC70 a few years ago, selling silage additive, B10TAL. I commented that the plate may have been expensive, but no, nobody else wanted it, just the car was expensive!

A few years ago the other half dragged me out to look at a car she wanted me to buy to replace what she had at the time. It was a Ford Mondeo that was sat at the back of a car sales place, yes it was tidy but I wasn't overly keen especially with herself trying to persuade me as there wasn't anything wrong with what she had at the time.
I won when I pointed out the number plate...... T???WAT ;)

NFU 1 was owned by the NFU, NFU2 and 3 owned by an ex group secretary in the isle of Axholme. LFU 1 I have driven many years ago as a staff member of Lincolnshire NFU Branch (The Founder Branch of the NFU. Where it is now I have no idea. Maybe the Loynes family still have it!!

NFU2 would that be Richard from Caistor ?

Man local to here ran a drugs company, Galpharm, sponsored the football stadium for a while.

He was living with his partner, he bought her a Hummer with her initials and a couple of numbers, but he also bought her daughter a Hummer with G1RLS on it, she was a member of 'Girls aloud'.

Maybe it was a very astute investment.

only if they sell it when worth more than paid !

so it should have been sold, or should still be sold

I can’t see and “need” that members would have for it ???

Here was me thinking the nfu’s purpose was to lobby and represent its members ! what actually is the NFU ? i had no idea it’s members paid subs into a investment company - in fact if that plate was bought when i was a member then i would like my share of it’s value back please ?

Can't see that being a problem for 3 letters, 1 number and a long term holding. I was the auction underbidder on one a few years ago and six months later it was (briefly) advertised at three times the winning bid. It's no longer for sale and DVLA says it's now on a fairly new Q7, so I'm confident it sold.

so it would have been in part bought with money my father or grandfather paid in subs ?

I wonder if they were told that’s how their money was being spent

I would like my % of their investment back please ? - who should i speak to ?
miss sold PPI ? .... think those guys could have some fun here !

An investment needs to be sold for more than was paid for it, money will grow, albeit rather slowly at the moment sitting in the bank or in a longer term bond.

When an investment should be sold is a difficult one and usually best judged with hindsight, maybe the best time to sell hasn’t come yet.

However I’d be very surprised if the NF U has bought a private plate as an investment.

so the NFU exist to invest members subs ?

maybe that explains why it’s so useless ant the stuff I though it was supposed to do !

looks like it’s serving a “essential” service to members on a Toyota pickup !

this is honestly quite sickening when you consider how better than money could be used to help members

if it was bought when i was a member i am disgusted frankly

do you know that this plate is owned by the Union or by the Mutual.
Which ever does, I would think it has been a very good investment for members or there pensions.
Remember , many farmers sit on an investment all their lives and never cash it in, preferring to pass it down the generations. Once you have slaughtered the goose it will stop producing eggs
