With input prices rising like they a 50 % increase will struggle to cover costs and on arable land wheat is looking a lot better option than grass for livery's. what will horse owners be able to afford.

Yes but a lot of Ukraine land will take years to be planted again due to the damage/spent/ unexploded bombs etc all over it and Russian farmers cannot get any spare parts etc so the west may well have to do a Post war German ww11 airlift type like what happened of wheat/Spuds etc to Russia next winter to stop them all from starving to death!I've said all along this is a econimic war against the West from Putin ,

Wheat prices had already started rising before all this kicked off world stocks are running tight. Bet politicians regret not having grain mountains now.Frank the wool on the beef thread is predicting that the Ukraine wheat will shortly hit the market and drive wheat prices sharply downwards soon afterwards.
The Canadian harvest was a disaster, I did see that some massive farm planted more than they harvested and they still haven’t had any moisture.Wheat prices had already started rising before all this kicked off world stocks are running tight. Bet politicians regret not having grain mountains now.
