130r

will it match the tuned 6420 or 6620
it’s auto power
have chance of low hour ex hire or a year wait for new one
basically to pull 4000 l trailed sprayer and bit of 12 ton trailer work at harvest
favourite would be 6430

bad craic really when you have to swap tractor cause new driver don’t want to drive old 69 , because no suspension

Tuned 6420 yes.
Tuned 6620 no. Probably would be close on pto work, but the 4.5l won’t hang with a tuned 6.8l on drawbar work
when say tuned 6620
when we got it , it came off a 70 acre fen place with sun 3000 hrs just clocked 5000 and 53 plate
and runs like a bag of spanner’s till it’s warmed up
wife took it into dealer one saturday morning and they had it on dyno 😳 and laptop to check injectors ,
johnny gets out with dyno print out laughing , not much wrong with that he says 161 at shaft 👍
that’s why reluctant to change
the older 20/30 series have done us well and cost nothing to run

if it’s running like a bag of spanners and doing that power it’s probably got a crap remap or chip. If it were mine I’d be setting it all back to OEM

New driver? Looks like you appointed the wrong one. Is the driver still on probationary period? 😉

Have a 2018 6130R, changed a 6230 for it. I really like it. Seems to have plenty go about it with autoquad plus box. Would leave our old 2014 6150 DD standing on the road with trailers. Not had it against our 155 cp yet. The only things I don’t like, it being short is quite jumpy on the road steering wise, you can’t stop concentrating for a second. The 6 pot sits much better on the road. The cab fan needs constant adjustment as it goes from being too cold to too hot in a click of the scroller thing. The final thing is the 1800 screen for autosteer doesn’t integrate well with the tractors screen. It causes the tractor screen to throw up faults and want to spend 10 mins plus rebooting itself all to regularly. Ok so long as I don’t need to asjjst anything like pto speed. Which I’m fairly sure is built in frustration by JD to push you towards paying the unlock to get the features of the 1800 on to the tractors screen. Other than a stepper motor on the lift the tractor has been flawless in 2600 hours. Big reliability improvements on both our 2018 an 2021 tractors over the 2013/14 R series so far anyway.

My 6130R has the auto steer built into the screen and it regularly decides it needs a 10 minute reboot too. Not had this problem with my 2018 6145R. Main problem for me is if this happens when I have the trailing shoe on as it knocks the electric spools into neutral and the macerator off.
Tractor is good on power for its size and spends the winter on a 27m3 mixer wagon.

How do you find 130r in terms of manoeuvrability compared to 6230, is it near as nimble for yard or loader work

What sort of price are they fully specced? One near here on a 60acre farm. Does a months hedge trimming and goes fencing a bit,a few grass harrow jobs on small holdings. New 6130r autoquad,50k,front linkage and pto,JD loader and guidance. Think he's won the lottery

The 6230 had a loader, it was a premium but basic as far as everything else, small tyres, 40k no suspension, mechanical seat etc, it pulled well and was a cracking tractor on mixer wagon etc in an ideal world we should have kept it. We have a 115R with a loader as well so when I traded in the 6230 I went for a front hitch instead of loader on the 130. I’d say it’s slightly clumsier than the 62 was but still quite manoeuvrable. It’s on bigger tyres, 50k, full suspension, a completely different tractor, which does a lot more field and road work than the 62 ever did but yet it’s still quite at home on the mixer waggon.

Think we were mid 70s in 2018. Probably 20k more now 🙄
